I thought it was a missed opportunity to have a lab-grown, indoctrinated from birth Stormtrooper have the personality of a generally well-adjusted young adult. I was really excited by the idea of having an ex-Stormtrooper protagonist, but was disappointed with that they didn't really do anything to make his POV or personality significantly unique, and by the end he seemed like he's just another 'everyman' hero. My biggest disappointment with TFA was Finn really. Also, who the fuck was that guy at the beginning of the film, and why does he have part of a map to Luke? That’s the real problem I have with the trilogy so far, I can’t buy the group as being a spiritual successor to past generations because they don't feel any real camaraderie between them. The main three don’t spend any time together the whole film. This film just completely drops Poe as a character for like more than half of it's run time, which is a terrible move when you’re trying to set up new characters as being the inheritors to mythic figures like Han Solo and Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia. Through a strange turn of events, you have been asked by JJ Abrams and Disney to "fix" The Force Awakens for re-release.
